Mughlai Chicken Curry How To Make Mughlai Chicken Ruchiskitchen

And today’s recipe – Mughlai chicken curry is one of the most delicious and flavorful dishes I have cooked in my kitchen. Not only does this chicken stays juicy and tender, but it is also packed with creamy flavor followed by a lip-smackingly delicious curry. I added some greek yogurt to the curry as it adds some great taste and packs quite a bit of protein. In addition to that, the curry is seasoned with a blend of aromatic spices that adds a wonderful aroma and flavor to this dish....

Pithi Wala Paratha

Peethi or Pithi wala paratha is a lentil stuffed flat-bread which is yummy and extremely delicious. Pithi or peethi is a urad dal mixture sauteed with onions, gram flour, spices and later stuffed in wheat flour and rolled out like parathas. A versatile mixture that can be used to prepare pithi ki roti, puri or even kachori – a savory street snack. This masala tastes exactly like the one that is stuffed in kachoris and is very spicy but I prefer to keep my spices on the low side – so feel free to tweak up the quantity of spices to suit ones taste buds....

Quick Classic Italian Dressing Alexandra S Kitchen

More than any other time of the year, this one feels the most chaotic, an endless stream of end-of-year school parties, graduations, field days, ice cream socials, weekend tournaments, and moving-up ceremonies … to high school! 😢. When I bump into friends dashing through the grocery store, I get the sense the feeling is shared. Often I leave the house at 3:45 in the afternoon and don’t return till 8, and, well, if I haven’t planned dinner before departing, it will mean Jersey Mike’s or Chipotle for dinner....

Real Sour Cream And Onion Dip Alexandra S Kitchen

In addition to childhood deprivation, part of my love for these sorts of dips, I suspect, stems from the fact that I never make them. As many of you know, so many of these most-adored party dip recipes call for opening a pack of soup mix filled mostly with dehydrated ingredients, two days worth of the recommended salt intake, MSG and a host of nitrates and preservatives. While this knowledge never seemed to prevent me from eating these dips — all willpower dissolves when confronted face to face — for many years it prevented me from making them....

Simple Delicious Harissa Paste Made At Home Alexandra S Kitchen

For years, I’ve wanted to make harissa paste at home, but every time I’ve set out to make it, I’ve been deterred by the process: many recipes that surface with a google search call for using dried chilies, which I can never find, and which, perhaps unfairly, I find to be a pain to work with. A few weeks ago on a whim, I searched YouTube for homemade harissa recipes and was surprised to find a slew of videos demonstrating the process using fresh red bell peppers and fresh hot chilies as opposed to dried....

Slow Cooker Matra Ki Chaat

Planning a morning brunch – try cooking in slow cooker, add everything to it a night before, set the timer and in the morning you will have your brunch ready – add tadka/tempering, adjust spices and enjoy quality time with your family..now that sounds good and promising and believe me it is. Noting like, waking up to your meal half cooked for you. 🙂 It took me time to adapt to the slow cooker version of matar/matra, when cooking on cooktop (matar kulcha recipe)is comparatively fast and easy....

Smoky Marinated Grilled Chicken Thighs Alexandra S Kitchen

In essence, this meal reminds me very much of how my mother makes and serves chicken souvlaki: she grills garlic- and basil-marinated chicken and serves it with tzatziki, pita or flatbread, lemon wedges, and often a cucumber salad on the side. Here, the spices and sauces look farther east: the chicken marinates with cumin, coriander, and smoked paprika, the cucumber-yogurt sauce is inspired by an Indian recipe, and the spiced green sauce, skhug, is a condiment often used in Yemeni and Israeli cooking....

Suzanne Goin S Slow Cooked Kale

Cooking kale in this manner is new for me. For one, like many people, I have taken to eating it raw not only because it tastes good but also because one raw bunch can be stretched over more meals than one cooked bunch. Second, if I do sauté it, I do it very quickly over high heat with a little olive oil, garlic and crushed red pepper flakes. I’m not sure I’ll ever do that again....

Sweet And Sour Honey Lemon Paneer

Today’s dinner recipe needs no explanation, the name says it all. A wonderful recipe where crispy paneer strips are tossed in a sweet and sour honey-lemon sauce… easy, mouthwatering & full of flavor recipe!! Vegan lovers can substitute paneer with tofu. Paneer is pretty bland on it’s own and has no taste at all, and that’s what makes it a versatile ingredient. Paneer takes on the flavors of whatever it is cooked with and therefore I like experimenting and trying out different recipes with paneer....

Vrat Ki Green Chutney

Mint and coriander chutney without onion and garlic. Also referred to as Vrat ki chutney is paired up with fasting food and is a great condiment! Simple recipe providing loads of good fresh chlorophyll and at the same time is very refreshing and tasty. Green coriander and mint dip prepared by combining yogurt with aromatic Indian spices. Prepared with fresh mint from my small window kitchen garden. Adding a full whole chili gave this dip a wonderful hot minty taste!...

3 Ingredient Candied Pumpkin Seeds Pepitas Alexandra S Kitchen

The method in the original recipe worked just fine, but I found it left the seeds coated in crystalized sugar. When the sugar melts separately until it becomes a light caramel, it glosses rather than crusts the seeds — make sense? Here, as soon as the seeds mix with the melted sugar, they clump into a mass, and after it cools, you can break it into clusters, which are not only pretty, but also user friendly: easy to pluck from a cheese board or snack bowl....

Brioche Bread Pudding Caramel Sauce Alexandra S Kitchen

I never expected to receive a return phone call. I had been agonizing over how I was going to make the bread pudding, wavering between baking it with fruit or without? Did Tartine really not add any fruit to the bread pudding while it baked? Their cookbook says without, but my memory told me bits of warm peaches had dotted the pudding throughout. I needed affirmation before proceeding, and so I called Tartine....

Cabbage Tortillas Gluten Free Baked Alexandra S Kitchen

Last week, halfway through an okonomiyaki frying session, I lost steam. I had a bowl of cabbage-and-scallion batter beside me, and I didn’t feel like standing at the stovetop any longer. And so, remembering these zucchini tortillas from last summer, I added some grated parmesan to the batter, spread it into a few circles on a sheet pan, then transferred the pan to the oven. Ten minutes later, I pulled the pan from the oven and peeled away the baked cabbage tortillas....

Classic Sweet Potato Casserole Alexandra S Kitchen

This is a very classic recipe, unapologetic in its use of butter and sugar, and I did not alter the recipe a hair, but for adding salt to the purée. Had I spoken with my mother prior to making them, I might have halved the brown sugar in the topping, which would have left it plenty sweet, and I might have omitted the small amount of brown sugar in the filling, too....
